The Research Methodology Course is an academically oriented program designed to equip scholars and researchers with the theoretical knowledge, methodological understanding, and practical skills required for conducting rigorous and credible academic research.
The course provides a structured understanding of the research process, beginning with the identification of a research area, selection of a relevant and original research topic, formulation of research problems and questions, and development of appropriate research objectives. Participants will explore major research approaches and methodologies, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method approaches, along with essential techniques for data collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
Special emphasis will be placed on literature review, critical analysis of scholarly sources, academic writing, citation and referencing, research ethics, plagiarism awareness, and the structure of research papers, dissertations, and theses. Participants will also learn how to identify reliable academic sources, use research databases effectively, organize scholarly material, and develop a coherent research framework.
In addition, the course introduces modern digital research tools and Artificial Intelligence (AI), focusing on their responsible and ethical use in literature searching, research organization, academic writing, data analysis, and other stages of the research process.
Designed particularly for MPhil and PhD scholars, university students, faculty members, researchers, and aspiring academics, this course aims to develop independent research capacity and promote systematic, ethical, evidence-based, and academically sound scholarship.
